+The glob pattern `**` matches all children and *the parent*.
+
+So this won't work:
+

+del.sync(['public/assets/**', '!public/assets/goat.png']);
+```

+You have to explicitly ignore the parent directories too:
+

+del.sync(['public/assets/**', '!public/assets', '!public/assets/goat.png']);
+```
